A timber, forestry or hooklift trailer with crane and GMT grapple saw is ideal for tree work in forest areas, along greenbelts, for wood bank maintenance, clearing sites and felling dead and dangerous trees along roads. With or without box for branches, with a forestry trailer you always have space to take the cut wood immediately and leave the site clean.

Cut the branches and trunk and put them directly into the chipper: everything done by one team and with the same machine. That’s how you save on manpower. For trailers with a forestry crane, we recommend the GMT grapple saw in the standard version and a GMT C10 quick coupler. The quick coupler also allows you to switch quickly and easily between the GMT grapple saw and the standard wood grapple. The GMT grapple saw and the C10 quick coupler can be fitted to any forestry crane without technical modifications. Thanks to the patented valve block, no additional hoses and/or control cables are required.
Safe and secure with TTC
For knuckle boom cranes we advise a GMT grapple saw with the TTC-system. The GMT Total Tree Control braking system (TTC) enables you to lower the tree section in a fixed position after cutting. An absolute must when trees are in an urban environment or in a difficult-to-reach position.
Easy hooking/unhooking with the Quick Hitch Jib
The grapple saw set for knuckle boom cranes comes with a quick hitch jib arm. This jib arm allows the grapple saw to swivel and rotate 360 degrees freely when the crane is in the upper position without touching the crane beam. It also makes hook on/of of the GMT grapple saw set very easy.
